CURRENTLY FOR
SALE
We usually have a selecting of quality young sportpony
prospects available and the occasional sporthorse prospect as well, though
our breeding program is now focused on ponies. We do occasionally have a
prospect under saddle available, though most of our offspring are sold as
weanlings or yearlings and we offer in-utero sales as well.
We
also have occasional listings of ponies or horses for sale that are from
Kaleidoscope Farm breeding that are being offered for sale by other
owners.
MIGLET

Kaleidoscope's
Megan is a purebred Connemara mare foaled 2001, 13.3 hands, sired by
Big Bear's Special Order out of Big Bear's Georgia Whiskey. She was
purchased as a weanling as a broodmare for my sportpony program because
of the dressage potential in her pedigree and her outstanding movement.
She has produced two foals for me with no breeding or foaling problems.
Extended pedigree at www.allbreedpedigree.com/kaleidoscopes+megan
She
has not been started under saddle but is gentle, people-oriented and
easy to manage for broodmare related handling. I will be starting
regular groundwork soon and she will be going to a trainer to start
under saddle later. She is a particularly good prospect for dressage
and would certainly event. She could also be purchased bred to my black
Connemara stallion, Stonybrooks Curragh Kildare. Priced to sell at $4500
HOLLY

Holly
is a 6 year old bay roan Connemara/Arab cross mare standing 13.3 hands,
sired by Big Bear's Special Order (the sire of our young Connemara
stallion, Kaleidoscope's O'Really) and out of a high-percentage
partbred Arab mare.
Holly is a proven broodmare but was not bred
for 2008 and will be going under saddle soon. She is pretty enough for
hunters, with a lovely head and neck and long stride. She would also be
competitive in dressage or eventing and may well have the speed and
talent for jumpers as well. Great disposition, definitely a "people
pony" and energetic without being hot. Priced to sell at $2500.
WINCHESTER

Winchester
is a striking buckskin tovero 2007 colt that is shedding to be a very
dark, eyecatching buckskin. His sire is the half-Welsh pony Popcorn and
he is out of Welcome, an Oldenburg/TB mare sired by Weltstern.
This
colt is a full brother to my first choice dressage prospect from the
2006 foal crop and should be equally talented. He is pretty enough for
hunters with the movement for dressage and should have the gallop and
jump for eventing.
He will stay pony and
is an outstanding competition prospect for any discipline and with his
bloodlines should also be capable of reproducing his quality as a
stallion prospect as well.
Priced at $2500.
MOCHA

Mocha
is a georgous dark buckskin pinto weanling filly, Welsh/Arab
bloodlines, people oriented, fancy hunter pony or eventing prospect.
Her full brother from our 2006 foal crop was the first youngster sold
last year, going as a hunter pony prospect.
She is
sired by Popcorn, who has been producing exceptional foals for us. Her
dam is a 14.1 hand black 7/8 Arab mare with a kind, quiet disposition
and wonderful trainability, whose sire is a black Arab stallion I have
owned for years that stands in Kansas City with friends. This mare had
60 days of riding before she became a broodmare and is the kind that
you can put a saddle on after a year out in the pasture, step on and
she will ride off quietly.
Mocha is a very
pretty filly, with the looks, quality and movement to excel at any
discipline and the temperament to make a wonderful child's mount.
Currently priced at $1200.
