Inselkonig

Inselkonig died 12-4-1998, however we are still breeding him using frozen  semen.  His offspring are eligible for registration with the American Trakehner Association in whatever registry they would have gone in were he still alive.

Inselkonig is a Class I German Trakehner/German Hanovarian Stallion Born March 14, 1966, 16.1 hands high, he is a true black. His name translates to Island King.  Inselkonig is a Class I Stallion known for his superb foundation quality mares; his mares have produced approved sons in various warmblood breeds. Owned by the German Hanovarian Society prior to his import, he was used as a school horse for their upper level riders. He is known internationally as a producer of excellent riding horses. Several of his get are performing and winning in dressage, jumping and competitive driving. Inselkonig was recently featured in book ''International Warmblood Horse'' by Celia Clark and Debbie Wallin in which they credit him with producing a lasting positive influence on the Hanovarian breed. He is listed internationally as producer of dressage and jumpers. Called ''That magnificent black stallion'' in a sport horse publication in Germany prior to his import to North America, his get have won many breeding championships and awards in the United States and Canada; several of his mares are approved in other breeds in addition to the Trakehner breed. His lineage includes several of the who's who in the Trakehner breed, both stallions and mares. He throws his powerful hind quarters, head, and great temperament. Approximately 80% of his get are the color of the mare. Except for one horse, Inselkonig’s get are all as tall or taller that he is.

Pedigree: Inselkonig is by Kapitan out of Insterlied 1312 by Stern xx. Included in his lineage is the famous mare line of Kassette 690 and the premier stallions Dampfross and Perfectionist xx.
