Flame N' Fortune
Flame N' Fortune is a 1995 colt sired by Weltstern and out of an American Warmblood eventing mare, who was 1996 high-point novice eventing mare on the Montana circuit. He is a minimal white overo pattern pinto, a brilliant chestnut with white face, legs and belly splashes, currently standing 16.1 hands and still growing. Flame will be presented for AWS approval next spring and we anticipate having him in dressage competition by late summer of 1999.
Flame will stand to a limited number of outside mares, with shipped semen available. First season stud fee will be private treaty, with special introductory incentive options available for mare owners. We expect him to be particularly well suited to crossing with Thoroughbred mares and lighter warmblood cross mares. His unusual overo paint color pattern should produce extensive white markings on foals that are not overo themselves. He was bred to two mares in the 1998 season, with both mares being settled and his first foals will be on the ground this coming summer.
