MAVERICK
![]() |
Maverick is a 14.2 HH blood bay with one white sock and a star. He was captured on the Goldfield Wild Horse Range near Nye, Nevada in the fall of 1993. His offspring have all been quick learners, and have good dispositions. Bred to any mare, his offspring is registerable through the American Mustang and Burro Association as half Mustang. So far, all of his offspring have been blood and black bays with no white feet and minimal face markings.
The Mustang is a good choice to breed to if you are trying to breed for an endurance prospect or a good trail horse that you can use in any terrain. I have gotten a nice pleasure prospect out of his first years crop.
Maverick has what is considered to be the Andalusian look as far as his head and the wavy mane and tail and the thick crested neck and broad chest. He also has nice large feet that will counteract small feet on the mares he is bred to.
